AudioContext

AudioContext fingerprint (also known as "audio fingerprint") is a hash-derived value of the device's audio settings. Audio fingerprint is a relatively new fingerprint tracking technology.

Due to slight differences in hardware/software between the host/browser, the audio fingerprints vary across different devices and browsers, leading to differences in audio signal processing. The same browser on the same machine will produce identical audio output, while different devices or browsers will produce varying audio output. These differences can be captured and used to generate a unique identifier for the device, known as the "Audio fingerprint."

Websites can capture the audio fingerprint of a user's device while they browse, without the user's awareness.

In the SupLogin client, when creating a new browser, selecting "Random" will generate different audio fingerprints for each browser on the same computer. Selecting "Close" will use the default audio settings of the current computer for each browser.1739253884497.png
